Genbu-Kai of Virginia has been teaching Traditional Shito-Ryu Karate in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia since 2003.
One of only four styles recognized by the World Karate Federation.
About The Dojo
We have been training Hampton Roads students in traditional Japanese karate since 2003, instilling confidence and discipline, improving fitness and flexibility, and providing self-defense skills.​
Genbu-Kai of Virginia studies the Shito-Ryu style of karate and is an affiliate of
Genbu-Kai International, Santa Ana, California
founded and led by Shihan Demura.​
Our primary classes of the week held on Saturdays at
Chesapeake Bay Academy

This class begins at 9am

Genbu-Kai Virginia also offers training in
Kabudo (traditional weapons) and Batto (the sword)
Batto classes require an additional fee
